New recruit.

The new session starts tomorrow, and Golaso is considering the recruitment of one player in particular. She seems like she has a nice personality.

Welcome to Season 4.

It's time to put on those yellow shirts, break out your shin guards, and let that NC funk fill your nostrils again. We're back, and we're better than ever.

Golaso is looking good after a solid first game on November 8.

Returning players include: Adam, Jeff M., Carrie, Amy W., Amy T., Jen M., Jeff E., Chris, Tyler, Devin, and Jen D.

New recruits this season are: Marisa, Ryan, and Mike.

The season opener was a smashing success, with a 6-4 Golaso victory. We played our old friends that we play about 5 times per season. But we show no mercy to friends, and we handed them a healthy dose of whoopass.

Goals were scored by Marisa, Amy, Mike (2), Chris, and Adam. Our new keeper, Ryan, played a solid game.

Although the team was feeling the burn after the first game, we all made it out alive. Sadly, the turnout to the postgame party was a little slim, but that will surely improve. Thanks to Adam and the Missus for coming out after the game!

Worst golfers ever.

The mannequins at Macy's are not making the LPGA tour any time soon. Note that this little lady is doing a full swing with a putter.


And this poor girl was not only swinging with a putter, but a left-handed one at that.


Now I know we shouldn't discriminate against the headless, but when we start the Golfaso team, these mannequins are definitely NOT invited.

Random things in the apartment Part 2.

I was cleaning the apartment today, and found this on the dining room table....

I'm assuming that this is a picture of Jim, who must enjoy playing soccer with bowling balls and wears an ice cream cone on his head.

Kinda makes me wonder what Devin draws when he makes a note to call me.



(Jim's number was expertly blocked out using the spray paint tool on Microsoft Paint. Otherwise, I'm sure all 3 people who read this blog would be blowing up his phone.)
