Validation.
Finally, confirmation that "Golaso" IS a word! From the reputable source of Urban Dictionary comes this definition:
Golaso: Term used to note the scoring of an amazing goal in soccer (football to those who are un-American).
Interesting- I didn't know that speaking a foreign langage was equivalent to being "un-American." But if Urban Dictionary says it, it must be the truth.

Golaso Love.
Sop* loves hugs.
But Adam loves them more.
*Names have been changed to protect people from potential stalkers. The internet is a dangerous place, you know.
Saturday night: soccer and salty fish.
On Saturday, we played a late one at 10:40. We emerged victorious in an 8-4 win.
Golaso members present included:
Damen, Allison, Carrie, Christy, Adam, Amy, Sop, Lauren, Devin and Jen.
Guest appearance by:
Jacob.
Goals scored by:
Sop, Christy, Allison, Devin, Lauren, Amy, Jacob.
After the game, the team went to the usual hang out. We discovered that you can still order food after midnight-- but you are limited to fried foods or pizza.
Pizza?!?!? Since when do they have pizza? Probably since forever, but it was news to us. Not only do they serve pizza, but larges are half price at that time of night. Phenomenal.
Sop couldn't refuse the pizza, but felt the need to get a large since it was half price. Devin, ever willing to help a friend in need, agreed to split the pizza with Sop. Sop noticed that among the choices of toppings for pizza were anchovies, which was a favorite of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He noted that he didn't like anchovies, so it might not be a good idea to order them. Devin said that of course it would be a good idea to order them.
When the anchovy and mushroom pizza arrived at the table, the team shuddered from the smell. And also the way it looked.
But Sop and Devin were determined, and they finished the entire pizza pie. It was dangerous territory, but they tried a couple different strategies:

- spread out the anchovies around the pizza to taste them less (Devin)
- put all the anchovies on the first bite to get them over with (Sop-- see results in picture above)
- chant TURTLE POWER for inspiration (Devin and Sop in unison)
