Saturday night recap.

In the dead of night on Saturday, Golaso swooped onto the soccer field to prey upon their unsuspecting League-C opponents. The lineup was impressive, with several veterans, many strong rookies, and a couple Golaso members who made a glorious return after a brief hiatus.

Returning this year are: Damen, Devin, Carrie, Jeff M., Sop, and Jen K.
New Golaso members are: Marie, Jeff E. and Lily.
A great big welcome back to Jen M. and Tyler.

And with us in spirit were new member Amy T. and veteran Golaso member Adam, both of whom will be joining us for the next game. Amy was out of town, and Adam was on a date.

But then it was business time. The excitement was infectious as Golaso warmed up before the start of the game.

Goals were scored by Tyler, Jeff M., and Devin. As always, Damen was fantastic in goal. And don't underestimate Lily-- she may be petite, but she REALLY knocked a bitch down.

Although somewhat winded by the end of the first minute of play, Golaso pressed onward through the remaining 49 minutes to prevail, taking home a 3-2 win.

The main place that Golaso's lack of conditioning in the off season really hurt them was in the turnout at the bar. Sadly, only three members made it out after the game. But don't worry, we have faith that with some training and dedication, the whole team will be back in no time.
